Sitting at the dock of the bay..
So here we are again..
Those last hours of reflections, before the flight leaves tonight back to reality, with some coffee in the sun down by the boats, and for once not even with the slightest of hangovers.
Yeah, it feels a bit weird, I do admit.
The days here have been just as intense emotionally as always, no, actually more, with a handful of good friends, a tad of work and some greatly appreciated hours of that golden afternoon sun on the balcony.
All and all, a perfect getaway from grey and everyday dismay back home, even if the weather here actually, to be honest, right now reminds a bit of what I left in the nordics a few days ago, just a bit higher on the quicksilver.
What I’m extra happy with is that something resembling my three golden new year’s resolutions have taken shape in my head in this well known environment.
So Pontus, here are your primary orders for 2009:
- You’ve seen yourself going through a lot during the last year, a lot of it generating a lot of thinking, of different reasons. It bores all of us, including yourself, after a while, really. Let’s try to cut down on that. Less thinking, more doing.. May result in a complete disaster once in a while, but at least you learned something.
- Don’t turn into an isolated, narrow minded city boy, forgetting about that nomad inside of you. A city like Stockholm can do that to you. It’s been proven before. Travel. Explore. Learn.
- And on the more concrete side: Send one postcard every month to someone you care about, and make sure to tell people you care about them. People need to hear that more often than one would think (the first part is actually a prolonged one from last year’s, but it turned out very well. And easy to keep..).
There we go. Fuzzy enough?
Let’s try this out, and see what 2009 has to offer.
And by the way: Per and Ingrid, thanks for a great New Year’s. Love you, guys!
(You see, picking “resolution points” already! yeay!)
