The world from above.

Saw the world from both below and above yesterday, in a weird way.
Me and Josef started of with a tour Robben Island, where Mr Mandela spent his years incarcerated for his fight against apartheid in this country.
Quite appaulling to have his story, and many others, told in that setting, and hear about what went on in front of the world’s eyes. Also felt kind of good to hear how big part Sweden in general (with financial support) and Olof Palme in particular (with his active political work) had in doing our thing for the fight against racial discrimination in this country. To see how people here was treated, as late as far into the nineties, while another one was growing up in a protected world back up north, makes you quite doubtful against some ruling forces. To have the stories told by former inmates of this island-based, Alcatraz resembling institution made it a whole bit more real.
On the flip side, we then went up to the top of Table Mountaiun to see the world from a good place.
Much better..
Just amazing how it affects people, at least me, to see nature in it’s raw form like that. Makes you feel quite small.
And somewhat hungover, it was a good night out in Camps Bays VIP night life Sunday.

More pics to come. Time to go on now. We’re on the road..
