What mum doesn’t know..

Our mums keep good track of most of us. When we let them.
But there are things that they really don’t want to know about.
Yesterday was one of those days.

It’s funny, we go through life trying to take care of ourselves, and stay safe.
Then we do this – cram up in a small metal cage together with other deathwishers, getting lowered into densely shark populated waters while pouring fishblood and laying out seal decoys around the boat to lure the beasts there.
Makes sense?
Not really.
And we pay big money for it as well.

So, we arrived to Hermanus late night Tuesday, just to witness the marvellous nightlife of the place with some food and a pint.
Early Wednesday we headed towards Gaansbai where we met up with Shark Lady Adventures and had a short walkthrough of todays adventure, then headed out to sea.

The Great Whites did let us wait, but soon enough we counted up to four of the beasts, being interested on what this thing was about, fresh meat in a cage lowered on to their dinner table, smelling good and acting funny with cameras and stuff.

The adrenaline soon started pumping when those 15ft fishies came close and personal, and Josef’s video camera sure got some good material.
Time to head east, and time to throw oneself from a 600ft high bridge, attached only by a rubber cord to real life.

Oh, did I say that out loud?

No, mum, we’re going have afternoon tea at a retirement home.
Really.
