Stretching it.
Bad thing to start off with, actually.. Doing anything “world’s best” or “world’s longest”.
This means that we’re now obliged to follow it up whenever something superceding this thing comes up.
But yeah, we’ve done it, here and now:
The Worlds Highest Bungy Jump, 213mtrs above sea level, at Bloukrans Bridge in South Africa. Plunging towards a gorge a quarter of a kilometer down, attached by no more than a rubber cord on a first come, on a first serve basis.
The owner came from AJ Hacketts business in NZ a few years ago and saw the potential in a bridge on the N2 on Garden Route (only NZers could see the commercial adrenalin possibilities in a concrete structure) and started it all up.
We took a wrong turn, and got a bit lost in Africa (which is not something you want to do on a dark evening, cruising through a distant township, trying to read a map) but eventually we got there, and chilled out at the location for a while, watching eachother take that wicked dive.
Once again, nothing I would have told mum about before hand.
Still with the adrenaline rush fresh in mind, we headed straight for the surfing capital of South Africa, Jeffreys Bay, for some chilling out. We thought we would check of yet another of our S’s on this trip here; Sharks, Surf and Safari.
Just one more to go.
